Death does not have a specific location, as loved ones can pass away anywhere at any time. Regardless of where your loved one passes, within two hours Opal Cremation’s transportation service can connect with any hospital, assisted living facility, or any other location and arrange for the body to be transported. We’re honored to take care of this so you can have one less thing to think about.
Once the body is transported, it will be kept at one of Opal Cremation’s licensed, climate-controlled holding facilities and preserve it until it’s time to move forward with cremation. After the body is safely at one of our Southern California facilities, Opal Cremation will secure the death certificate in addition to facilitating and receiving other necessary permits and paperwork. Plus, if a third party is involved in the cremation arrangements, we’re able to coordinate with other groups that might be involved in the plans.
The Cremation Process
When all of the permits and necessary materials are compiled and the parties involved are satisfied with the arrangements, Opal Cremation will then proceed with the cremation process. Family and friends are encouraged to learn how the process works so they know what to expect. For example, some families wish to have the body cremated as soon as it reaches the facility, while other parties might wish to wait until after viewings and funeral arrangements. It all depends on what families, friends, and the deceased want. Opal Cremation offers families and friends the option to be at the facility when the cremation takes place.
