Situated across the San Diego Bay from downtown San Diego, the resort city of Coronado is part of San Diego County, California. Coronado is a linked island that is joined to the mainland by the Silver Strand, and has been honored by three US Navy ships, one of which being USS Coronado.
A place that we highly recommend visiting is Coronado’s Centennial Park, a popular location for vibrant events and wedding party photos, with stunning views of the harbor and downtown San Diego. The park is located at the end of Orange Avenue, Coronado’s major thoroughfare. The Coronado Ferry Landing, which is home to several excellent local restaurants and small stores (including art galleries), is just a short distance away. Large open areas and a great view of the San Diego skyline can be found in this park. Although many activities are held here and hosted by the city, there is ample room to host any type of celebration or gathering imaginable.
Another great place to check out in Coronado is the beach – available for passive usage from 6 a.m. to sunset, which allows for creativity in event/gathering planning. One thing to note, is that gatherings of over 25 people are not permitted by the county. With that in mind, this beach could be a great place to visit for a stroll or a small event.
Coronado is vibrant city that offers a nice mix of culture, tranquility, and recreation. It’s home to beautiful parks and community areas, and offers plenty of options to celebrate the life of a life well lived.
