After you confirm your order with Opal, we coordinate everything for you. Our trusted partner, Eterneva, sends a welcome kit that includes a short video, clear instructions, and all the tools you need to safely send a portion of your loved one’s ashes. If you prefer, we can handle the transfer for you.
Remarkable Transformation
Once the ashes arrive at the lab, a technician transfers them from the container they arrived in to a graphite crucible. The crucible undergoes a carbon purification process to extract carbon from other elements in the ashes.
Your Diamond Emerges
Using carefully calibrated heat and pressure, your loved one’s carbon grows into a diamond, cut and polished according to your preferences. You’ll receive updates throughout the journey and can always contact Opal for support and guidance.

Only 1/2 cup of your loved one’s ashes is needed to create a diamond. You can keep te rest of the ashes at home, scatter them, or divide them between loved ones.
How long does the process take?

What happens if something goes wrong, or I have a problem with my order?
